I.         Tujuan Pembelajaran
Pada akhir pembelajaran, siswa dapat:
       - Mendeskripsikan ciri-ciri fisik hewan secara lisan. 
       - Mempresentasikan teks descriptive secara lisan.

Hello, I would like to tell you about my pet. I have a pet, it’s a adorable rabbit. It’s name is “Popo”. It has black and white fur, It has four legs and a long ear. It likes vegetable actually carrot. It’s so friendly with me, I love it!.

A.     Kegiatan awal
·      Berdo’a
·      Menciptakan interaksi dengan tanya jawab mengenai berbagai hal yang berhubungan dengan keadaan siswa.
Contoh: - Good afternoon, class. How are you today?
               - Have you had lunch?
               - Who is absent today? Why?
·      Tanya jawab berkaitan dengan materi yang akan diajarkan (decriptive text).
Contoh : - Have you ever visited to the zoo?
                - What kind of animal, did you see there?
               - What are the animal in the zoo, did you like?

B.     Kegiatan inti
Eksplorasi:
·      Siswa diberikan pertanyaan untuk mengetahui kemampuan dasar tentang materi yang akan diajarkan.
·      Siswa ditunjukkan gambar.
·      Siswa ditanyakan tentang gambar yang telah ditunjukkan.

Elaborasi:
·      Siswa diberikan penjelasan tentang teks descriptive.
·      Siswa dibagi dalam 3-5 orang per kelompok.
·      Siswa diberikan kartu berisi gambar yang akan dideskripsikan.
·      Siswa diminta untuk mendiskusikan dan mendeskripsikan sebuah gambar bersama kelompok masing-masing.
·      Siswa diminta untuk menyusun sebuah teks descriptive.

Konfirmasi:
·      Siswa diminta untuk menyampaikan hasil diskusi di depan kelas.
·      Siswa diberikan umpan balik (feedback).

The purpose of descriptive text is : tdescribe a particular person, animal, place, thing, etc.

Generic Structure :

2.Description (mention the partsqualities, and characteristics of subject being described).

                      The Asian Elephant is the one of the larger animals in the world.

It has a big body. Its skin is thick and tough. It has four big legs, a long trunk, small eyes, two long tusks, and big ears.
(Description of parts)

It eats grasses, leaves, shrubs, twigs, branches, and bark of tree. Also prefer banana, paddy, coconut, and sugar cane.
(Description of qualities)

The Asian Elephant weight up to 5,400 kilograms. It lives in forest, hilly or mountainous area. It feeds during the morning, evening and night. It rests during in the middle of day. It needs shade during the hot season to keep from over heating. It cannot go far without water.
